1863 Signed and Numbered Limited Edition Monument Replicas
On July 2, 1863, the 9th Pennsylvania Reserves received orders to hold the ground between the Round Tops. “Having gained the position designated, the line was fortified with the loose fragments of granite which lie scattered in profusion on the rugged sides of the mountain, and was made secure against attack.” The regiment was commanded by Lieutenant Colonel James M. Snodgrass.
The monument is located near the intersection of Warren and Sykes Avenues at the base of Little Round Top and was dedicated in 1890.
